The Story Behind a Photo

I don’t have a favorite photo, but I chose this ‘cause it’s a special photo of my story. My friend named Jorge took this photo last weekend during a Japanese Culture Event, called Anima Heroes, at “Rainha do Brasil” School. This is an event where the people who like anime (Japanese cartoons), mangas (Japanese comics) and games go for fun. There are music performances, karaoke, parade and contest of cosplays and dubbings. The two people with me in the photo are dubbings, he’s Élcio Soldré and she’s Miriam Ficher. I’m going to say some of their dubs.

Élcio Soldré:
Cartoons: Zé Colméia, Stu Pickles (Rugrats). Animes: Shiryu of Dragon (Knights of the Zodiac), Pual and Pilaf (Dragon Ball), Hatake Kakashi (Naruto), Abarai Renji (Bleach). Series and movies: Sayid (Lost), Sean Penn, Jim Carrey, Borat. And he dubbed too in a lot of Tokusatsus: Kamen Rider Black, Kamen Rider Black RX, Sharivan, Jiban, Maskman, Flashman, Cybercops, Goggle V, Metalder.

Miriam Ficher:
Cartoons: Jane (Tarzan & Jane), Lilica (Tiny Toon), Piggy (Muppet Babies), Princess Sara (Fire Horse), Cow (The Cow and The Chicken), Vicky (The Fairly OddParents). Animes: Botan (Yu Yu Hakusho), Patamon (Digimon), Pandora (Knights of the Zodiac). Series and movies: Charlene (Dinosaurs), Velma (Scooby Doo), Ginger (Chicken Run), and actresses like Drew Barrymore, Jodie Foster, Angelina Joile, Nicole Kidman.

In my orkut profile, I have many photos with dubbings who came here, in Porto Alegre. My favorite part of the events is the talk whit the dubbings. It’s great. I have many videos them and with them. In the photo, I’m wearing my most precious t-shirt. I bought its in the biggest Japanese Culture Event of South America, the Anime Friends. It happened once a year in São Paulo and this year I went to there. It’s an official t-shit of the first world tour of JAM Project, a Japanese band. Only my cousin and I have this t-shit in RS. The JAM Project (Japan Animationsongs Makers Project) is a band which meet great singers of anime songs. Nowadays, it has six singers, five Japanese and one Brazilian, the Ricardo Cruz. Next year I’m going to go to Anime Friend again.

This is a draw in a black board. I did this yesterday when I should be studying. It’s a schematic draw about the photo of this work, I did it for practice the presentation. As you see, I was crazy when I did this draw. In the right there is the Fire Horse, back to Élcio there is the Dragon Born of Shiryu and in the left there is the Bulbasaur, my Pokémon. Yes, I know. I’m crazy. Sorry.
